The game only accepts songs between 60bpm and 120bpm. If the bpm is higher than 120bpm for example, the game recalibrates the music by halving the bpm until it is below 120bpm. A side effect of this is that the in-game half beats become full beats.
Since BPM's OST is 88bpm, it's recommended to have a bpm of 80-100.
