Template documentation (for the template above, sometimes hidden or invisible)

Purpose[edit]

This tag is a form of communication between members of a collaborative editing community. Its purposes are:

  • to point out that information is missing.
  • to question the veracity or accuracy of information.
  • to alert users that this information may be outdated.
  • for editors to mark their own work as a guesstimate.

Usage[edit]

To use, add {{Verification needed}} after the information in question. If some extra context is needed, it can be provided as an argument like so:

{{Verification needed|for how long?}}

When using this template, consider simultaneously opening a discussion on the article's talk page if applicable. Please tag thoughtfully and avoid "hit-and-run" tagging.
